IF you’re looking for natural ways to help keep your family healthy, I want to share a little bit on here about my personal experience using these bottles of liquid gold since I started using Young Living Essential Oils in 2012…
First, I want to briefly mention why Young Living is the undisputed leader in essential oils.
Young Living has a seed to seal guarantee and promise. The company abides by very strict guidelines to fulfill this promise to us.
– YL owns its own farms, which no other major company does. It has partner farms that have to abide by the same standards.
– YL won’t plant on soil that has had been in contact with ANY chemicals within 50 years. (Organic standards are only five years!!)
– YL picks the absolute best seeds from strong thriving plants.
– YL hand weeds and uses its own oils on plants for pest control to avoid harmful chemicals.
– YL harvests at peak times to ensure you get the highest quality oil.
– YL distills on site without chemicals.
– YL tests every batch multiple times throughout the process with state of the art equipment.
All of these factors make a huge difference in quality and effectiveness. If a batch doesn’t meet YL standards for any reason, it doesn’t get bottled up to distribute. YL would rather have something go out of stock than let an inferior product slip through to us. It’s rare to find a company with such transparency and high standards. Go visit a Young Living farm for yourself! My pics from my visits are below 🙂
I honestly didn’t like it at first. My first thoughts were, “lavender (from my prior experiences) doesn’t smell good, and there’s just something about it that I don’t like…” — until I tried the good stuff, and researched, and found that it did absolutely change my life when I realized how effective it was for my sinuses/Respiratory support, especially during the changing of the seasons.
I was already introduced to peppermint while growing up. When I had an upset stomach, mom gave me the good, pure, peppermint candies from a farm in Indiana that some people in her family used to run. Like lavender, peppermint has an incredible long list of ways it can be used.
Citrus oils are cold-pressed from the rind of the fruits, unlike most of the essential oils that are steam-distilled from the plants. Lemon Vitality is one of my favorites to drink in my water, and it helps the body’s alkalinity. I was very impressed when I got my first set of oils at how effective lemon oil was with taking off permanent marker from surfaces.
Growing up, I heard the words “Frankincense and Myrrh” around Christmas time every year, but didn’t actually know what they were. Thankful for essential oil reference books and pubmed.gov for enlightening me with the science behind these two oils… I instantly gravitated to loving Frankincense from the beginning. Something about it really impacted my mind and body.
Every year. Every year I see gobs of people blowing up facebook that they’re sick, or sick again for the fourth time this year.. I haven’t been “sick, sick” in 5 years. Sure, I’ll have short spells of respiratory issues during the changing of the seasons, but I haven’t had the full-blown crud that seems to be going around. I attribute my healthy body to many things, including a clean, healthy diet, Ningxia Red, and Thieves. Because of the Thieves Household Cleaning line, I no longer am absorbing those harsh chemicals from conventional cleaners, too.
There have been many times that I’ve put too much food in my belly, and there was another time that I had food poisoning. DiGize has saved the day on all of these occasions. It’s an oil that I don’t like to travel without, especially when going to a different country. This oil is for digestive support, and boy does it work. It may not spell the greatest, but it does work!
Where was this oil when I was in high school?? Seriously. Why didn’t anyone tell me about this oil?? I was an athlete, dealing with shin splints, ankle sprains, and muscle soreness. I use this oil today when a bone or muscle is not feeling it’s best by applying a couple drops directly onto the area.
This oil has grown on me over the years. Wasn’t a big fan of it at first, but now I appreciate it greatly, especially when there’s a lot of chaos happening in my life. I love to diffuse this oil, or apply it topically to my neck and shoulders when it feels like I am carrying the weight of the world on my back.
Think citrus oils with a hint of spearmint. Good, fresh, uplifting aroma, that can help elevate feelings to being more positive. Diffusing this one is nice, and I have many parents who tell me that Citrus Fresh is a favorite one for their kids to grab and put in their diffuser. As you can imagine, it can turn water into a pretty tasty drink when you use Citrus Fresh Vitality.
This oil, like many others, is an oil that I keep on hand at all times. It’s one of those oils that when you need it, it’s good that you have it. Similar to Thieves with its properties, but at the same time, a bit different. Thieves and Raven could make a great pairing when feeling way below the weather. Raven is great to diffuse, and it is also great to apply to the bottoms of the feet.
🌱Peace & Calming
A blend of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy, this is a very calming, yet emotionally uplifting/balancing blend. Diffusing P&C when needing to calm is my favorite. Try rubbing a drop or two to your child’s feet, or let them smell the bottle when they are fussy. Perhaps the same with your pets.
I cannot get enough of Valor. Give me it as a roll-on, give me it as a dropper bottle. I WANT VALOR. This oil helps to bring on feelings of courage and strength. It also is said to have the same vibrational frequency as our skeletal system. I love to apply it to my wrists, back of my neck, and feet. We actually had this oil go out of stock for several months at one point — it felt like forever that we didn’t have it. BUT, it was worth the wait. Young Living only provides us with the BEST, and Gary Young and his team far exceeded any expectations. A key component of the Valor blend is Black Spruce. The Northern Lights Farm and distillery was constructed to bring Valor back in stock, as well as any other blends that contained Black Spruce. With that said, get yourself a bottle of Northern Lights Black Spruce. It’s one of my absolute faves.
Oils work WITH the body to help the body repair itself. Your body recognizes oils, and immediately knows what to do with them. Inhaling the aroma of an oil is the quickest way to receive benefit, but depending on the situation you’re addressing, there may be more effective ways to use each oil. Other ways could be using the oils on your skin, or with specific (Vitality) oils, can be used internally as a dietary supplement.
Over the years, I have tried many brands of oils to be sure that I am using and referring the best of the best to my clients. Essential oils are becoming a very popular thing these days, but always consider the source of the oils. Oils are not created equally, and unfortunately there is no true standard set by the government on what can be labeled as “100% Pure”. That’s where your research and experience is important with knowing what you’re using is really that good for you, and worth the money you’re investing. Young Living has proven to me to be nothing short of the best out there, and with all of these other companies jumping on the oil bandwagon, it’s no contest when you think about how Young Living has been around producing 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oils since 1994. Experience tops it off.
I love Young Living not just for their oils, but because they offer an entire product line to promote a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle doesn’t just mean eating right, exercising, and sleeping – it means that we’ve cut back on using harsh chemicals to clean, we eat food that actually provides nutrients to the body and in a way the body can assimilate it, and we can’t forget about all of those products that we use every single day – switching over to bath and body care products that when the skin absorbs them, it’s not going to trigger the body to have a ‘dis-ease’.
